 Would you like to help us put on New England’s premier festival event? It takes from 800 to 900 dedicated volunteers to make the Keene Pumpkin Festival® a reality. It’s a lot of work … and an amazing amount of fun. There are a number of different opportunities for volunteers at the Pumpkin Festival – before, during and after the event!
Volunteer opportunities for this year’s event include:
Friday, October 15 During the day we need lots of help at the log-in booths and also moving pumpkins. Extra hands are very much needed all day! Community Night: A continuation of volunteers needed into the evening with additional help needed for crowd control with hay rides, distributing pumpkins and manning the log-in booths! Lots of fun from beginning to end!
 Saturday, October 16 Pumpkin Festival: The jobs for volunteers are too numerous to list, but we have needs for any type of volunteer – young and old are welcome! Volunteers are needed from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. Let us know the hours you are available and your interest, and we will find the ideal activity for you. For example, we need candle lighters, help with seed spitting contest, pumpkin valets, help cleaning up, face painters… just to name a few! Volunteering for the Pumpkin Festival is something you will never forget – and I guarantee you, it will become a tradition for you and your friends and family! GET INVOLVED AND JOIN IN THE FUN! Groups of volunteers are welcome; it makes for a fun day to volunteers with your friends and co-workers.
Sunday, October 17
Festival Clean-up: Would you believe that by noontime there is no evidence that over 70,000 people and 30,000 pumpkins were at the Pumpkin Festival the day before? The clean-up crews are amazing, and we can always use hard working, dedicated volunteers to make this end-of-the-festival endeavor quicker, more efficient and….the more the merrier!! Clean-up starts at the crack of dawn – 5 a.m. – and goes until complete, usually by noontime!
