With the event license approved 100 days ahead of the festival, Let it Shine has a 3-part plan for funding the fest.
Phase1 is done: $13,856 has been raised thanks to the generosity of lead sponsors Nancy Sporborg, Price Chopper and The Stage; new donors Scully Architects, Keene Door, The Vacuum Store, BMC, and Janos; returning sponsors Keene Orthodontic Specialists, StingRay, Hamblet Electric, Savings Bank of Walpole, Raynor Dental; and generous gifts from new friends and old listed on pumpkinfestival.org. A pledge for inkind services from the City of Keene is also included in the first phase.
Phase 3 requires raising $15,336, a challenge for sure.
Phase 2 is REALLY EXCITING and must be completed by September 28. A surprise MATCHING GRANT from the Putnam Foundation is being announced today. If the community pitches in and collects $5,000 for school children’s pumpkins, that sum will be matched by the Putnams to cover the full price of all the pumpkins for the children to carve. If you were considering a gift of $25, $50 or $100 to Keene Pumpkin Festival, you can double that gift by giving now.
Deadline September 28, one month before the fest.
